Winter Wonderland

I spend much of January looking forward to meeting all my new clients – the couples planning their weddings in the year (or two) ahead.

To open the batting for 2018 I had my first wedding last weekend. So here are a few images from it.

April Weddings

April weddings.

April was a beauty, full to brimming with gorgeousness, it’s farewell to the daffodils, blue bells, muscari and snowdrops for another year and hello to the plum, cherry and apple blossom, and a warm welcome the peony season.

Frankly it’s scandalous at how ridiculously pretty peonies really are so many of my brides are clamouring for them in their wedding bouquets. Coral Charm and Coral Sunset remain my firm favourites as they fade from deep coral pinks to palest parchment inside a week; a beautiful sight I never tire of watching unfold, that said the pure white, pink and blush varieties are classic staples for any bridal ensemble.

I am incorporating gorgeous tulips into many of my bouquets and arrangements as well as selling them in hand tied gift bouquets too. Bulb-on for a longer vase life, the bulb also makes a nice feature inside a clear vase big hitting blousy numbers to captivate the look of an arrangement; they surpass any requirement for a rose or other focal flower alongside them.

Mothers Day

Mother’s Day is fast approaching and for many of us it probably means a last-minute to order flowers

Mother’s Day is the best time to express your appreciation for the things your mum has done for you.

If you feel you haven’t shown as much attention to your beloved mum, now is the perfect chance to! Spoil her with a beautiful bouquet of her favourite flowers, in colours she adores.

Or, if she prefers something smaller surprise her with fresh avalanche roses, scented pink lilies and antique carnations make this wonderful bouquet a deservedly popular choice for many. Your flowers will arrive in bud form, ready to bloom. The images displayed shows the bouquet in bloom.

Wednesday

It’s been a week of birthday bouquets! We had an order from Canada, Australia,  New Zealand, one of my customers wanted to send birthday  flowers to her Mum in Scotland and local orders that I guess is the joy of technology. Do remember you can always order online or call us on 02087489766.

Here Comes Spring!

For me April would simply not be April without daffodils.

Spring wedding gives people a rejuvenating and energetic feeling. Spring flowers are plentiful, pretty and relatively cheap, especially daffodils. Daffodils are everywhere in the spring, they are on the streets, in the park, in all the supermarkets.

Daffodils most commonly come in white and yellow, however it seems that the yellow version is a lot more popular and easy to find.  You can also use both yellow and white daffodils together in your wedding arrangements, alone or in combinations with other flowers.

Daffodils are in actual fact, floral happiness on a stalk, it’s like being infused with pure sunshine such is their effect – as I write this blog, and they are opening in buckets all over the workshop. I must have over a thousand of the little trumpets.

I’ve got an incredible combination of flowers to create what will be a sophisticated look – vibrant yet with combinations of cream and blue.

Yellow daffodils were the absolute favourite of one of my clients that I have created the table arrangements, they looked gorgeous combined with lovely blue Hydrangea, Avalanche Roses, Spray Roses and solidaster.
